Josh founded his company out of a passion for entrepreneurship and helping business owners grow their business. Josh's interest and experience in finance led him to address a void he saw in the marketplace. Josh recognized that both business owners and commercial real estate investors needed an advisor they could turn to for their capital needs, one who didn't represent one capital source, such as a bank, but who represented the owner. This approach has allowed him to offer objective advice and assist clients in obtaining the best terms with the least hassle. In addition to addressing this void, Herlong and Company also addressed a lifelong dream of Josh's, which was to help business owners grow and successfully exit their business.
Prior to founding Herlong and Company, Josh spent his career in education, finance and small business. He earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management from Anderson University. His work is his hobby.
Josh Stephen Johnson
Commercial Finance Advisor | Associate
Stephen Johnson Jr is a commercial finance advisor that excels in networking and building customer relationships. He is tasked to find and uncover opportunities, build rapport with clients, and navigate through the financing process to the closing table. It is his goal to streamline the purchasing process and help simplify it from start to finish.
Stephen experience is strongly influenced by a sales background. Having spent the last 3 year in residential real estate, he consistently ranked in the top 20% of his brokerage. He started investing in single family residences and multifamily complexes and grew an understanding of partnering with an established financing resource. Prior to joining Herlong & Co. and being a real estate agent, he spent over 9 years working as an Account Executive for the United Parcel Service. It gave him perspective and experience of working for a top Fortune 500 company, that helped develop and refine his sales skills.
When not serving his clients, you will most likely find Stephen sounding a whistle out on the sports field with local sport programs as a referee something he has been doing since a teenager. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, his two boys, and stepdaughter.
